Don't forget, entries are due by 8:00 a.m. Friday October 24. This is the last day of early release week, so that will give the kids a bit of extra time to get their entries polished up!
The reception for all kids who entered plus their parents will be November 3 in the library at 8:15 a.m.
Please look through this blog for some suggestions for entries and please let me know if you have any questions!

It's that time again!
Let's encourage our kids to crack down on their Reflections entries! The due date this year is October 24 by 8:00 in the morning. The theme this year is "The world would be a better place if...". I will be working tonight to post all of the links to forms here; but you can look back through the information from last year to know the basic rules. If there are any changes to rules this year, I will be sure to highlight them tonight. Please let me know if you have any questions that I can help with!
Thanks

Results from 2013 - 2014
I can't believe that I forgot to post our results! Kemp had an AMAZING year for Reflections. I'm so proud of all of the kids!
This was my 3rd year as Kemp's Reflections Chair and we had the most entries yet! We had a total of 40 entries from 24 students. The first and second place entries from each grade and each category went on to compete at the council level. We sent 26 entries to the council. Of those TEN placed! Last year Kemp only had 3 entries place at council level and the year before none!!
Our ten entries that placed at council were:
Kindergarten:
Photography:
Sam Smith - 2nd place
Sam Smith - Honorable Mention
1st Grade:
Music:
Brooke Perla - Honorable Mention
2nd Grade:
Dance:
Clark Hamilton - 2nd place
4th Grade:
Film:
Victoria Landa - 2nd place

Victoria Landa - 2nd place
William Landa - Honorable Mention
Visual Arts:

Madison Ligozio - Honorable Mention
All of the entries at the council level that won 1st or 2nd place then went on to compete at the state level. Victoria Landa won honorable mention at state for her film entry.
I am so beyond proud of all of the amazing entries that Kemp had for the 2013 - 2014 school year. I can't wait to see the entries for next year!! Remember, the theme is "The World Would Be a Better Place If". Go ahead and get to work on those entries - they will be due in mid October.
